Souls Beyond

The steel gates surround the hidden souls..
Misty shadows flow around as stories told..
Outlined figures some tall , some childlike..
Each one has a chill and presence, but none alike..
To feel the souls walk through you drains all disbelief..
As they hover around like so many falling leaves..
What your eyes see is changed by the feeling of incomplete..
When you have reached out to beyond and the souls you meet..

Michael, though this write is full of suspense and walking on "the other side" it still resonates a tenderness. Tenderness in the way you have always been able to capture. Your words cradle my spirits. Thank you for sharing. Lay
