Soul Whisperings

Amid the whisperings of my wandering soul,
I grasped at straws,
reaching for truth,
but finding none.
Searching for one good man,
but discovering Him gone.
Seeking wisdom,
while gaining only knowledge.
Needing elevation to some higher plateau,
while on an escalator rushing nowhere.
Striving to attain the unattainable with works.
Unable to control my simplest situation,
from my souls depth, in desperation , cried I.
"Please Lord, save me, a sinner"

I loved this poem. It exposes the heart in a real way, showing weakness, yet possessing strength. wonderful write.
