Soul Storm

The sky is gloomy The sun doesn’t shine My heart feels moody And not so fine Why does it not pour Like tears that fall? Why does it not roar With thunder’s call? Anger simmers ‘neath The darkened clouds Salt drops form a wreath As black mood shrouds A storm is brewing Within my soul And I’m left stewing In dungeon hole 06.16.2021

Yes, feeling gloomy inside can feel like a storm brewing as you describe. Then, the sun will shine again. Well done :)

We encounter many storms as we go through life Jo but then calm is restored and the sun shines again. Tom

WoW! Jo, What a deep and emotional write. I have had storms in my soul on many occasions. You expressed that feeling so well; I found it to be so poetic and well written.Just like in the natural “soul,” storms will pass( Although they can take a long time). Thank God that they eventually pass. Well done. This is going straight into my favs. Have a great day:-) Alexis

Jo, beautiful writing, so emotional, I have felt just like this also many times but it is not good to let anger simmer, I find peace in the tranquility of nature but just let the anger go if you can, love _Constance
