Soul In Wilderness
In the invisible flare of the insane times
When all the bridges we built are burning
I wish to walk the remnant miles
Across the Rubicorn of doomsday fear
To the untamed wild country of yonder
Into the transmuted tranquility of the thicket
Where from the facet of the canopy crown
The sunset shimmer slips through the foliage
Filling the forest floor with mystic maze
Where I’ll let my shadow repose on quietude.
In the onyx waters of the emerald laced lake
The cadence of the pine-scented breeze
Designs the lattice of the rhapsodic ripples
Glistening entranced in the flashes of firefly light
Flickers entwined with filament of moonbeam
Kindling lucent lines of lamps in the dark alley
Where I’m toiling all the time in my journey
To find me for I’ve lost my way down the pathway
Searching for the serenity of sublime wilderness
Where I’ll let my sated soul reside in bliss.
