Sorrow

Such a deeply human affliction
When all hope is done
It’s a tear in one’s heart
Causing it to crumble and fall apart

It’s a bitter disappointment
One that you never meant
Yet our time here is so brief
And now our joy is covered in grief

And as you fall into complete distress
Seeing your whole life as a total mess
When it takes away your spirit
And you just don’t want to hear it

Call out Our Lord’s Name
For In Him there is no shame
Lay all your sorrow at His Feet
Allowing your heart to once again beat
