Notes About The Poem
This is about addiction and drug abuse, not medication taken under a doctors care for health issues. As with anything, medication can be abused and become wrong. But I believe God works through our doctors and scientists to heal us with these medications as long as we do not abuse them.

Take with food
One more dose
Swallow it down
Like magical spells
Self-medicate
To make yourself well
Tail of newt
Wing of fly
Take everyday and
you won't cry
Lock it all up
Behind chemical walls
Don't read fine print
Across ceiling crawl
Pharmaceutical cauldron
Sorcery lab
Not just broken body
Your soul's on the slab
