Soon the Whole World Will Be Watching
the beginning always feels like the end.
you don't know how to love them,
so you just pretend.
wake up with a new life
and new song in your head.
lovingly leave a note
on the table by the bed.
you'll stay inside for months
playing coy with the sun.
but she won't care that you ignore her
because she shines for everyone.
soon you'll crawl out of the shadow you sunk into
and soon the whole world will be watching.
the sun sweeping across your face, making you brand new
and the whole world will be watching.
