Sonnet 6

What fear resides the touching of our lips To wed as mouth to mouth passionate lovers Of little faith in sunken battleships Would thou rather live free with dying brothers The choice to wear a ring the knee may bend Fiance' to another heart and drum Could change thy face that peace and joy would mend Into a mask with looks of gloom and glum If time would turn and travel in the past A rose would greet you every morning hour And every nights collection would be vast In hopes thy thoughts of marriage not be sour Convince thy feet to freely jump the broom And let our lips be one as bride and groom
