The Asian Unicorn (Saola) - Kaieteur News

Song of The Saola Asian Unicorn No 6: ABAB

Paints and films of death grow; signs of our times,
crowning rundown; the Asian Unicorns.
Rare large mammals, forest-dwelling bovines,
with nearly two feet long parallel horns.
They're found in central Vietnam and Laos,
adults reach up to thirty-three inches
up to shoulder height. Captive breeds rehouse
like schemes, lacks hope as they're on the fringes
of extinction. The poverty levels
are high in the region, local support
are tough. Technical and medical specials
aid base programs and worldwide food import.
The two hundred-twenty pound primary,
famine ... charities ... complementary.

So many animals are on the verge of extinction, may be due to climate changes and deforestation and man's callous exploitation of nature. Through your poem, you have brought awareness of Asian Unicorns and the the threat they face. Great poem dear Williams.

I started the songs to trend less seriously as evidenced by my first of this series where the readership count went off the charts. Hoping to close out this series like how I started it, my friend. Thanks for your exquisite input as always, Valsa. Aloha, William
