SONG OF SURRENDER
From the depth of the earth, I rise,
A speck of green.
Winning the trust of the sun, I make a promise---
Never to falter.
I am but a chapter yet to be read in the Book of Time.
.
From the womb of time, I am born-----
Fed with the milk of love.
Steadfast, unwilling to give in to fallacies and vices
I stand tall, singing songs of hope and freedom and love for all.
I bow to Thee
For giving me the life, that I longed to live.
For breathing in me the sweetness of Thy Form.
For holding me in Thine arms, when lightning strikes.
For bestowing in me the patience to forbear and forgive.
Thou gave me an arm when I fell down.
Thou accompanied me when I travelled alone.
Thou solaced me in quotes, dialogues, person.
When I had seriously given up on myself.
When thoughts stormed, Thou made me laugh.
When the absence of a loved one crumbled strength
When failure turned gross and jibes crushed my spine
Thou lifted me with a song from a movie long forgotten.
To Thee I surrender.
To Thee I look up to.
To Thee I give my heart.
To Thee alone I belong.
