Song Birds Weep
When stars cease to fill the vast sky each night
Or the full moon no longer bathes us in her light
When the sun has chosen to no longer rise each morn
Then will come the time that man can love no more
When the roll of thunder no longer can be heard
And lightening within storms leaves your awareness unstirred
When the winds no longer sweep the clouds along
That will be when mankind walks round with heads hung
If the oceans were to still, to no longer ebb and flow
And all we saw were shades of grey when looking at a rainbow
When songbirds all weep instead of warbling their song
It's that time we will know our lives cannot go on
