Somewhere In My Mind

I tried to write a song for you
But words, I could not find.
I knew that they were in there
Somewhere in my mind.

So I thought a poem
A sonnet, perhaps some prose
To profess how much I love you,
Compare you to a rose.

But my muse, she had deserted me
I'd lost the will to write.
So I'll just have to tell you,
When I hold you close tonight.
