Sometimes I Wish

Somewhere in the dark
Buried deep
All alone with the secrets I keep
Head hung low
Holding back tears
Trying to escape the pain
My fears
Live one day at a time
Like its a sentence for a crime
One foot in front of the other
One pain after another
The lies I tell
Like a broken prayer
No one can hear
Sometimes I wish
I could just disappear.

Susan Gentry May 27, 2018 at 7:10 AM A sad emotive poem you've written. You express pain, hurt, even underlying anger in as way that I could feel it. Leaves me wanting to read more, where is this coming from, etc. :)
