Sometimes I Just Can'T Think

Sometimes when I try to write about something my mind travels though light and darkness, and it wanders through my universe of thoughts A dictionary of scrambled words circulates through my brain and regurgitates them into my muse As I try to reconfigure them into something that makes sense, I back-read my thoughts And then, I realize... It's time to put the cap on my pen... It makes no sense at all

Oh writer's block. My poetic brain on pause. If I'm stuck for help I read dozens of poems from other creative Soup members, that helps. With your poems, I believe your pen cap has snapped back on. :)

You may have heard, "there's a time and place for everything", Sometimes we want to write when our thoughts are not ready to reveal themselves it a discernable language. :-) Just try again another day and see what else your heart wants to say. I feel you brother, Bill

I am in the habit of reading my poems over and over again, even hearing it on my computer. I always find some mistake. I would never delete it until it's perfect in my humble opinion.

Oh my, yes I resonate with this so much, there are always many times when inspiration strikes, our mind travels in a different universe oscillating between various frequencies and when we return from the world of imagination, it's gone and it really is troublesome..A wonderful write, so expressive!
