Sometimes Being In Love
Sometimes being in love can make you feel drunk,
Like you're stumbling trying to walk,
The first I love you got you sprung,
Because your words aren't making any sense when you talk.
Sometimes being in love makes you feel like you just can't win,
No matter what you say or what you do,
Trying until you get it right over and over again,
Because the person you're with you never want to lose.
Sometimes being in love can make you feel like you're on drugs,
Wanting them more when you've already had a taste.
You fiend for the person because of their love,
Their love is what you want so their love is what you chase.
Sometimes being in love makes you sick,
Having an argument and now you two aren't speaking,
You love them so you know this is something you have to fix,
The silence makes your heart feel like its bleeding.
Sometimes being in love can make you feel insecure,
You opened up your heart leaving it exposed,
To getting hurt making you feel obscure,
Things were easier when your heart was closed.
Sometimes being in love can make you jealous,
Not wanting anyone to have them but you,
So at times your actions get kind of reckless,
Thinking that someone can take them from you.
Sometimes being in love makes you upset,
You take things personally because you get defensive,
About everything because all you want is respect,
Because certain things they say you take offensive.
Sometimes being in love makes you cry,
A good kind of cry sharing the same passion,
Always wanting everything to be alright,
So for them you have a lot of compassion.
Sometimes being in love makes you crazy,
Being beside yourself, this person you've never seen,
All you want is for them to be happy,
All you want to do is scream.
Sometimes being in love can hurt,
Causing you pain because they don't care,
Being with the wrong person not knowing your worth,
And all along you thought the love was clear.
Sometimes being in love is a choice,
To make it work or throw in the towel,
It's not easy but being unloyal is what you avoid,
If the love is what you want don't ever treat them foul.
