Sometimes

Sometimes what the eye sees isn’t what it should clearly see,

Sometimes what the ear hears isn’t what it should solemnly hear;

Sometimes what the mind dreams about isn’t what it should peacefully dream about,

Sometimes what the soul believes isn’t what it should faithfully believe;

Sometimes what the heart loves isn’t what it should wholly love,

Sometimes what one wants isn’t what one essentially wants.
