Sometimes

Sometimes, I just can't believe
That you aren't by me anymore
The lovely memories continue to deceive
As they blow a breeze that makes me forget my sore

Sometimes, even after your departure
I still walk in a trance to the door
And sit by the flower, it's you am waiting for
To come again, and love me like before

Sometimes, even though you aren't there
I still continue to stare
At the open windows as I sit by the stairs
Waiting for you to come by and show you care

Sometimes, after you've left
I still go and check the rooms, oh! How I forget
I want the time to wind back so I can repent
For not holding you down, and making you immortal the first time we met

Sometimes, even after you're gone
I still don't believe we are ever done
I still want to hear you say a final goodbye
Hoping if you'd come to, then I will trap you forever in my eye

You write of romance, or the lack of your loved one. I particularly like one, white sage. Well done.
