Notes About The Poem

THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA

Sometimes

Only sound, early in the morn is the keyboard The quiet opens my brain and body To the awareness to all that it can afford Any sound like the ringing in my ears that embodies My every waking thought and is irritating It would be nice if it would just go away. Nature, cooking, listening to music keeps it from grating Sometimes I wish it would leave forever and stay Life, though, is not always that easy Wishes most of the time don't get answered Problems mostly are not solved breezy And wishes go unanswered. God knows, hears our prayers and He always answers Sometimes it is with a yes, sometimes a no, sometimes maybe and sometimes it is wait

"Problems mostly are not solved breezy And wishes go unanswered." This is the reality. Prayers are not always answered and wishes are not always fulfilled. Still let us patiently wait for God's time. Beautifully written dear Sara !

Valsa, Yes, God has to work in His own time, not ours. It is hard as humans to wait, though. Thanks for the visit and the kind review of my work. Sara

This is a thought provoking write Sara. So much truth in the last few lines. Sometimes God gives us fresh new thoughts to overcome our problems, this indirectly answering our prayers. Respects and Hugs... ~ Ani

Anitha, Those fresh thoughts are from God. They don't come from us. Thanks for stopping by and taking time to comment. Sara

Wait, and wait... and wait some more. Sounds like the answers I'm getting too, Sara. ~ Feet don't fail me now!!

Gershon, Even young men get weary lose their strength but those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint. Your visit was an eye opener. Sara

I think that is probably true that only a few understand that God has those 4 options at His disposal. Sara

A very thought provoking and heartfelt poem that reflects such deeply profound emotions. True, as it is said, when our wishes are fulfilled- good, enjoy the moments- and when they aren't, not it's even better because now the plan is to proceed as per the God's will. He decides what's the best for us, always.. Beautifully you've evoked these feelings here, loved reading it! Sending love :)

Why, thank you, Hiya. God does decide what is best, plus He does let us make our own decisions when if they are not the right one, He lets us live out the consequences most of the time. Thanks for the visit and the smiley face. Sara

I find the waiting for God's answer to present itself hard. I know He knows best, and I want His will to be accomplished through me. It's the waiting. (I imagine the waiting is to teach me patience) that's hardest part for me. I enjoyed reading your poetry today, Sara. Have a joyful day, my friend. Bill

Bill, I used to pray, "God give me patience." We had a pastor who said, "If you pray for patience, God is going to send trials to help build it." I then start thinking about that and wondered if He was sending me problems in my life to help build my patience. Then I thought no, the Bible says every good and perfect gift is from above, so God was not sending me the problems it was Satan. Thanks for the visit. Sara

Many love the peace and quiet of homely sounds. What I hate most are people holding conversations at night beneath my bedroom.

Victor, I don't have that problem since we live in a single-family home, well, I guess not exactly because our grandson lives in an apartment in the basement. He usually isn't too noisy though. Thanks for the visit and nice review of my work. Sara

Yes, Quoth. When God gives us an answer it is usually more and better than we asked for in the first place. Sara
