Sometimes

why does it hurt so much at times
just being alive
chasing our dreams
or living out lies
where it begins
or where it all dies

i sense all the pain
burnt out and drained
a day in the park
or walking through rain

why does it hurt so much at times
alone in the dark
no light in sight
give up or fight
nothing feels right

Perhaps below has a point, all we need to readjust back to living a normal life is for a huge solar flash to obliterate Social Media and technology - and we're back to communicating normally, if any of us could even comprehend how to do that now. The 'soullessness' is in the technology, we're all becoming Cyborgs. Next we'll be having SEX with robots, we've already hit virtual reality... if we are having any of that nonsense... at all. Hope all going well over there? People have become so attached to their laptops / computers / androids ... they are forgetting little-by-little how to 'really' connect ... E.T. phone home. Make a phone call (speak...if you're not mute), pay a visit, have a dance, go bushwalking, swim, actually 'socialise' etc... some of us have become truly complacent and relaxed in our own company and swallowed up by our circumstances (which is highly understandable and relatable for some)...to venture out of our shells. But still, we try, even if we are 'trying'.
