Something to Survive

I couldn't see it
Blame the way the viscid blackness
Of your soul
Exterminates the sunlight
Couldn't feel it
Sinking in your tar like sand
And blowing bubbles
Like a boiling child
Not loved enough to understand
That living
Isn't the same as having something
To survive

Well this goes down as the funniest way I have ever been introduced to someones poetry.....:) I was given the honor of Poem of the day yesterday but The Soup has an error listing you as the author of my poem LOL so I figured why not stop by and see who you were. I am very, very glad I did, "Blame the way the viscid blackness" a sticky black soul is not always easy to see. A directly beautiful poem. Best Regards A.s
