Somedays

Somedays I sprint to class
Just to sit next to you
Some days I get to school early
Just to spend an extra ten minutes with you

How can you not notice all of the things
I do just to be with you

Somedays I pick up the phone
Hoping to here your voice on the other line
Somedays I go to the mall
Hoping to see you there by chance

How can you not notice all of the things
I do just to be with you

Somedays I offer to babysit your sister
In hope of seeing a glimpse of you walking out the door
Somedays I trip on purpose
In hope of you helping me up

How can you not notice all of the things
I do just to be with you

Somedays I call you when I know you're away
Just to hear your voice on the answering machine
Somedays I write poetry about you
Just to have something to read about you later

How can you not notice all of the things
I do just to be with you

Somedays I write your last name with my frist
Just to see how pretty it looks
Somedays... like this one I fantasize about absurd things
Just to be happy...
