Things I know about Jesus
Some things I know about Jesus
May not be what you expect
Like a testimony of transformation
Or a rescue from the worlds havoc.
While I am sure these all have merit
And effect those who hear in a way,
One thing I know about Jesus is
He is living and Lord of today.
Yesterday is old manna
Reflecting His caring and grace,
But "now" is where He dwells you see and
"Now" is His rightful place.
We learn from those around us
To close our eyes and bow,
One thing I know about Jesus is
His spirit abides in you now.
No need to try to reach Him
Or posture oneself as of old,
Simply share with your father all things,
There is nothing that cannot be told.
Some think we cause a division
From our Father when we "sin".
One thing I know about Jesus is
Nothing can separate us from Him.
His spirit never leaves us
His presence never flees,
Realizing His constant companionship
Is one of victories keys!
To grow as a Christian we
turn to the temples of today.
One thing I know about Jesus is
His resurrection put them away.
No more sacrifices at the alter
No more priests to lead the way,
No more opinions to divide us
Only a relationship day by day.
One thing I know about Jesus is
The old has passed away,
All things are new for His glory
And His kingdom is here to stay.
