So sad the dream of this sweet girl,
With wings wide I soar and glide.
End the deep, dark sad dream,
Etched in my young mind!
Time just stands still -
Dark my soul,
And the,
Years.

Charlotte Puddifoot October 16, 2015 at 4:55 PM you're at home with deep and soulful; you've made good use of the single syllable words to create a coherent and poignant little poem...i would be tempted to have a line gap after 'still -' there's a natural break there with the two words and the hyphen - and remove the comma after 'the' so it reads simply 'and the/years' - just a suggestion - congrats on your win in my contest!
