Pat Adams Poet Quatrain

Some Say But

Some say that he is a nut
Possibly that could be true
But crack one open, you'll find
Something tasty and new!

Some say she is a book worm
She must have one to peruse
But crack any book open
There'll be a new world to choose!

Some say he is a good egg
Always helps when help is due
But crack one open you'll see
That the yolk might be on you!

Some say I'm adolescent 
Wasting four stanzas of rhymes
Just for twisted pleasure in
Repeating "but crack" four times!
