Some People Think

Some people think that if your opinion is different than theirs that you have no right to exist and what you say has no value to anyone. If you try to express your point of view they will shout you down. Some people think that discourse is a valuable thing, everyone has an equal opinion to be considered and discussed in an open-minded way for the betterment of everyone. Some people think that they are above everyone else and nothing is more important than what they want and to hell with anyone else. Some people think that it is better to put others before themselves and live practicing the Golden Rule. Some people think that it is justified to take the lives of unborn babies. For life has little value. The sick the old are a drain on society and are disposable. Some people think that all lives matter, born or unborn, the sick and the old, all people are valuable, life is precious and everyone the right to life, liberty and happiness. Some people think that you must worship their god or you have no right to live. Some people think that everyone has the right to worship the god of their choice or not worship any god without fear or persecution. Some people think that there is no god. We are born from nothing and will return to nothing when we pass. Some people think that we were created by God in his likeness from the Earth and will join him in eternal Heaven when we pass. Some people think that the government exists to run our lives, take our money and services for the welfare of all. Some people think that the government exists only for it's citizens protection from all enemies foreign and domestic. Some people think that armies are for conquest of the weak according to the plans of evil men. Some people think that that armies are for the protection of the people and the sovereignty our country according to the righteous founders of our nation. Some people think that a society has no need for guns and when eliminated most crime will disappear. Some people think that guns are necessary to protect the people from a tyrannical government and hold most crime at bay. Some people think too little and say too much. Some people think a lot and only say what is needed. What do you think?
