That too is a battle that two have to endure because of the connection. For me, it will be 50 in 2013. Met in 1963 as teenagers and married as teenagers in 1966. It's never been easy but when the chips are down, our true colors show.

I'd just commented on one of your pieces that you were approaching hero status. You just blew through that benchmark. Congratulations to you and your bride. - Chuck

Chuck, I love the image of one, just looking and knowing what the other is feeling... looks just don't kill...looks can also heal, and add more love to an empty room... doubt is a heavy state of mind... always...pd

Chuck, people who find this type of love are very lucky. My late husband and I often didn't need words to express our feelings. We could just look at each other and know what the other was feeling. Your photo is very handsome, Chuck. Where do you live? Thank you for stopping by and reading some of my work. I look forward to seeing more of yours. Best wishes, carolyn

I just read your "butterfly cotillion" and it gives me a new topic to write about. I live near Monterey, CA and Pacific Grove (opposite side of Monterey) bills itself as "Buterfly Town USA" Thank you for your compliments. And your image is lovely. - Chuck

I rather enjoyed this poem, both for its message and it's bare foot, blue jeans tone.
