Some Horn Haiku Just For You
Everyone knows that first line has
words with a total of five vowels,
honored by poets who are wise
old owls happy not wearing scowls.
Second line has a total of seven
vowels that are contained in words
that in other poems come in herds
making much sense and not absurd.
Words with a total of five vowels
are in the last line of mine that are
a sign my poems will be fine. With
you want to share and hope you care
and to read them you do dare.
Strung My Tongue So Sung
My song book had brung;
Bee stung my tongue so song sung;
Now out tongue has hung.
Words will hang around,
After you have heard each sound,
To be poet bound.
As I pray each day,
Words when dying, people say,
Asleep have to stay.
As my clothes will fray;
Where should my soul stay today;
Down to sleep do lay.
