Some Girl

You look at a girl Your eyes search her eyes And see she isn't your girl No matter how much you want her You grasp that finally Though deception is sweet and easy It implants a hopeful maybe Yet awareness is key Piercing the chest like a driven spear Take a dainty sip of beer in a cup Then take heart and time The world doesn't belong to you Perhaps you belong to the world T'is always a matter of time You may yet still find her Beyond these woods somewhere

Wilfred, 'Your eyes search her eyes And see she isn't your girl.' Wisely spoken truth, though not for every ear. The fools errand ticks on - If not she, then who? If not now then when? -Richard

I really enjoyed this one, Wilifred. It reminds me of that song where a man sees the woman on a subway train or something and briefly imagines being with her.
