Some Day

Someday when I leave this place,
To walk another land,
I'll gladly cast my soul aside,
To please the master's hand.

Earth is here to offer penance
To fools born into innocence.
As they give up their gift of freedom
To serve in tense ambivalence.

I refuse to serve that master.
No pious shackles burden me...
I wander with a pristine heart,
In all places I choose to be.

I think this is absolutely wonderful - I loved the power in each line and the overall feel. Something in my soul concurs with your poem. To me, this is a 7 and a much better write than some receiving bunches of comments - some things make no sense ... CayCay
