Notes About The Poem

I have had several car wrecks, and thought I was going to die in two of them. Both times I yelled out for God, one time to save me, as I was a young mother of three. The next time to thank Him for a live well-lived. I have not died yet.

Some But Not Me

Some wear polish.
I don’t.

Some fix their hair.
I don’t.

Some take care of their teeth.
I didn’t.

Some die.
I haven’t.

I can relate - I don't even wear makeup most days (how scandalous!)
