Notes About The Poem

Tetractys 
Invented by Ray Stebbing, it is a 5 line poem with the 1st line having one syllable, the 2nd line two syllables, the 3rd line three syllables, the 4th line four syllables and the 5th line 10 syllables (1,2,3,4, 10) You may also(10,4,3,2,1) or a double Tetractys (1,2,3,4,10, 10,4,3,2,1) 

 

Sol's Gilded Chariot

Sol's
gilded
chariot 
slowly ascends
over fields of worshiping sunflowers
in a sky of burnt almond and orange
as morning light
directs their 
loving
gaze
