Solitude

Mountains occupy my mind

I crave the solitude,

Upon their lofty heights I find

Peace, and lifted mood.

The echoing of jousting crows

A skylarks warbling call,

Sunshine playing across a tarn

I find such joy in all.

Out there on the mountainside

Is where I long to be,

Among the rugged crags and peaks,

I need no company.

As for me... ir is sitting on a beach watching rushing the waves come to shore.Or watching a waterfall rushing to the bottom to reach a lake or stream. For me the sound of water is calming.
