SOLITARY RUN

SOLITARY RUN ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That morning, I set out for a solitary run noticing the clear blue sky with only a few wispy clouds floating by. The grass stood silent, the multi-colored leaves barely moving, looking as if they had been painted there. A faint touch upon my skin made me wonder, ‘Should a person be able to feel the beating of the birds’ wings?’ Time stopped, stretching endlessly in the quiet stillness.
silent, empty space thoughts like seeds begin to sprout. a voiceless whisper births words upon the still air~ creativity takes flight

A beautiful autumn scene accompanied by a superb piece of writing. Take flight with the bird and live out its every wingbeat.

A good airing makes room for new, deeply breathing foundations. Take a small recorder on runs -- drives me crazy to have a burst of inspiration, and then have to rely only on memory. Never works for me. Relatable write.

I'm the same way...if I don't write down thoughts/poems/stories that come to me, they are lost...frustrating. Glad you found this poem relatable...have a splendid evening!
