Solicitation
'Hello', I said on my cell phone.
And after hearing only silence,
I said, ‘one moment please,
I would like a chance
To feel a cool breeze
I need to clear my mind
From a constant sneeze’
‘Oh, I’m ready, who is calling?’, I ask,
‘Fine meats from Kansas City?’
“Yes” he said in such a lively tone.
“The best meats one could ever own.”
‘Not for me sir, no matter how good
As I am living and just making it alone.’
‘You’re selling on the phone
My yes answer is the key
But when my brain’s full
I need to set my advice free
Patience is a great virtue
You’re a patient man indeed
But trying to sell to a poor man
Is no way to ever succeed.’
