Sojourner Truth House Domestic Violence Shelter 1992

Severe night terrors after being held
captive for a week during Christmas
again my abusive ex brutally attacked
me every Christmas since that arson
murder that cold Christmas day 1984
all the elderly persons perished in he

and Gargano fire it was as if he would
relive the arson murders and take it out
on me every single Christmas eve terror
began there I was this time tied up to
a chair while he rant rave spit talking
with his hands i shook flinched from

his every gesture as he attacked me
pulling my hair punching me finally he
would let my daughter walk to the
bathroom with me then back in the
chair he took all the doors off the
hinges and nailed them to the window

making the house pitch black no sunlight
dressed in army fatigues holding a k force
army knife he kelp after being kicked out
with a nothing to lose attitude putting
the knight to my neck children and I
escaped to the sojourners truth home

why I was still very much in contact
with the fbi blessings finally a kind
compassionate man who worked
for Ciro Gargano the arson murderer
of nine he was actually his his driver
running errands but soon rose to being

his business partner doing odd jobs
around the shop the driver Ciro always
sent him when ever I was stranded this
time he located us in the shelter with
tears in his eyes he said you deserve
better your kids deserve a home warm

beds you shouldn't have to fear any man
it was then I knew he would no doubt
handle my abusive ex it was only a matter
of time he told me it was okay he will take
care of us to my surprise he did just that
he brought coffee donuts for staff gave

me a newspaper he spent all day with us
calling landlords at the park until I found
a home he then took us shopping for
beds bedding drapes boots coats he was
an angel Ciro Gargano was now in prison
on weapons and drugs charges calling

me collect everyday I never let him know
the fbi was there I was communicating
with Milwaukee fbi ciro sent his business
partner the driver to pay my phone bills
keeping communication was a must the
fbi insisted I certainly never forgot I was

working for the fbi wearing wires buying
weapons and drugs because of those
murders I was trapped ciros mother
Mary Gargano also sent us 250 dollars
twenty five for each one of my children she
loved my children never forget birthdays

holidays she worried about us she kelp
Ciro Gargano books till her death I was
very fragile being abused hiding when
the fbi called an Iraqi cornerstore merchant
trading wic coupons food stamps for
weapons to gang members I went under

cover the entire storefront was removed I
was filled with fret my abusive ex husband
was bitter enraged this germantown was
dangerous Milwaukee killers it wasn't long
I witnessed a murder in broad daylight
seated with the fbi supervisor Leroy Heimbach

he transferred from Arlington heights Illinois
he was sweet kind he gave me two jars of
honey things were looking up but I was
petrified the killers would retaliate plus
my abusive ex was threatening to shoot
himself and me he hid in my and two shots

from his pistol went off twice one for him
and one for me after months of horror
I feared my safety I actually left everything
new beds and all relocated back to Ohio
protected by retired sheriff fouth of july 1992

he took care of the children and I being a
domestic violence victim material things
just pass you by you learn to enjoy the
simple pleasures and god and never
forgot the kind angels who protected
my children and I god bless domestic
violence shelters of America
God bless the federal bureau of investigation
God bless the United States of America

You're Safe now Honey.
