Soggy Doritos

Soggy Doritos

I like soggy Doritos, I will not lie,
For in a taco salad, they're the apple of my eye.

I like them fresh out of the bag, as perfect as it seems,
But in a taco salad, the soggy chip is queen.

I slather on the sour cream and hot sauce just to boot,
Sending both my waistline and my blood count through the roof!

I've been known to devour a whole bag in a day,
Till my checking account is empty and I'm walking with a sway.

I love the tangy chip, I surely do,
Either from the bag or in a bowl. With a Mountain Dew.

But by far, the very best of the chip,
Is in a taco salad so soggy you can't dip.

I love a funny whimsical poem like this. Only I like Doritos crisp even in taco salad! I am curious. Is this meant to be sung to tune of the song I like big butts?. If so, you did a great parody as well!

Find the big butts song. It's hilarious and you can kind of sing your poem here to the beginning of that song.

Hello again, Andrea! Honestly, I don't even know the song. I was just sitting down to a plate of leftover taco salad for lunch one day and thought ( I sure do like it when these Doritos are soft like this), and that was my inspiration. Of course, there is a bit of a comic in me too. On a side note, I performed this poem for my coworkers at the Mill. Rough, tough guys suddenly taking an interest in poetry imagine that! If I can bring a smile to the faces of the men, perhaps it will be the best thing for me, I love to make people smile. ❤️😊

A deliciously silly tribute to the humble taco-salad chip. The jaunty rhyming couplets and conversational voice keep the humour rolling, while the escalating indulgence—from sour cream to Mountain Dew—makes the ending especially satisfying.🌮

Thank you *smiles* I had fun with this one. On a side note, I performed this one in front of my night shift crew at the foundry last night after roll call and stretches. They all had a good laugh at this one!. Especially as one guy put it, I loved your theatrics. It was the first time performing in front of a non-English-speaking crew; I'd read one line and let the translator do his thing. In the meantime, facial expressions took the stage 😄
