In the gift of recovery, you set yourself goals.
Each day an achievement as you keep self control.
The gift of sobriety, to find your true self.
Whilst making you realise that your health is your wealth.
Reconnect with your loved ones, your family and friends.
Appreciate relationships, whilst making amends.
Embark on a journey to find your self worth.
It's a journey worth taking and one you deserve.
To grant yourself freedom from those shackles and chains.
Whilst turning your back on a whole world of pain.
Addiction's a struggle, an illness that’s real.
Controlling your urges whilst learning to heal.
When you've hit the rock bottom & there's no last resort.
It's time to just reach out, get help and support.
Engage in the moments to build self esteem.
Being free from addiction, fulfill your own dream.
In the gift of recovery, you will find your own way.
And sobriety's reward, keeps those demons at bay.
For the gift of recovery is a life redefined.
Take each day as it comes, leave the old past behind.
