These coins represent 38 years.  I appreciate Cecilia's kindness in suggesting I write an acrostic on Sobriety to go along with my acrostic entitled Alcoholic.

The best remedy for sobriety is to never start drinking in the first place. Wish I had realized that sooner. Down the hatch now means more black eyed peas, turnips, pork chops, corn bread and sweet iced tea!

38 years is a long time to hold on to your soul of health. I know it is not the same , but it's like smoking, I was so addicted to and was always sick that everyone around me quite just to help me. I'm allergic to it. Going on 30 years.

It's difficult for me to envision you as a smoker, but so wonderful to know you were able to quit. I quit smoking in April of 1973. I will soon celebrate 47 years smoke free. If I could have quit drinking as easily as I quit smoking I may not have had to go into treatment, but I'm grateful for what I learned about myself while in treatment.

Thank you, Cecilia. You are awe inspiring and made it quite easy for me to come up with an acrostic for the word, sobriety. I'm grateful that, God has Blessed me with a friend like you, a friend in whom I can confide.
