Soaring
You can give up,
You can fall,
You can rest your case,
And maybe never exist at all.
"Use your wings and fly"
A wise butterfly once told me,
"Never fall behind the shattered glass"
My mind would strain to me.
But Why?
Why would you give up when you know you have ways to succeed?
Why would you give up when all it takes is a few extra steps to be who you want to be?
Why would you want to end it all when indeed you can be somebody?
Why would you want to fail all the people that hold you dearly?
This rollercoaster isn't gonna ride itself,
I may have ups and downs,
But that's the fun part,
You see,
When you go up a rollercoaster you get this excited gut feeling,
As you travel down hill,
Some can say you are thrilled.
Now tell me this,
Would you rather drown or fly in the sky?
Would you rather be noticed or fade away and die?
Would you rather change the world or let it waste away?
Or maybe even save one person's life or thousands a day?
In life there is so much to live for,
Take a look back and see all of the mountains,
Or maybe even a sunset,
Look at the birds that tweet us a melody,
Maybe even the frogs that croak when it's gloomy,
The sun that peaks up and brights up the sky,
Now tell me do you really want to fall into the dull shadow of nothing?
Or are you ready to soar into the land of the luminous?
I've chose my pick,
Now it's time to choose yours,
Maybe you will make the right choice,
And win some ambition.
