Soar
You can't be hurt if you don't care
You can't fall if you don't stare
You can't find the future if you give up
No one knows how someone else thinks
The closest someone gets is listening to how their heart beats
But listen to it break then fall apart
Why did it fall apart?
You can't see if you don't look
You can't find what will be
You won't be by her side if you give up now
Looking back will you even ask why she's gone
Will you miss her?
Will you wish to have the heart that you could have won?
If she doesn't soar without you, will you know that you clipped her wings?
When with you did you know the gears in her head didn't have to turn
She didn't have to think about what was wrong in the world
She didn't have to know what to do. Because she was with you.
In those moments she didn't have to think. She could let go for a moment.
But then life changed, she doesn't understand
You can't know how much she cared
You won't know how broken she became
With you she was safe
With you the future wasn't so scary
The gears in her head were calming down
But then you decided you weren't for her
Or was she not for you? She doesn't know
Suddenly she wasn't safe, she was hurt,
She'd fallen for you
But you weren't going to be around for her the same way anymore
Suddenly the world came crashing through
She thought things were fine
Do you miss her?
You didn't tell her until the end
Why didn't you talk to her?
Was she not worth the fight?
What happened? She doesn't know
Will she ever understand?
Time will tell, if she will fly
If she will sing, if she will ever let her walls down
Time will tell if her heart can mend.
