So It Goes

So it goes Easy to pen poetry in the light of day much more for the eye to see washed away her shadow of night anyway, yeah.., try and explain it to my heart that longs for you.. wills it to.. go dark. Easy to land long strokes smooth movement in pen's pace knows it's almost time to trace fine lines of a face I have to hold it in still too bright, stretch my neck feelin onset of your twilight.. So easy writing by candle's glow from one who knows how to separate thorn from rose. So it goes

I can feel the emotion come through this one. I wonder if she was a thorn or a rose or a mixture. Thanks for your visit to my page. Sara

Emotive write…I can nearly see the poet penning his poem, the light and dark and strokes of artful ink. Enjoyed this piece, Richard!

A sad but beautiful verse, which triumphs in his finding the strength to accept that it's over. Great writing, Richard.

A dialogue to reflect on my friend. Many will relate. Great ending: from one who knows how to separate thorn from rose. So it goes

The darkest of night that hides a love, a star, the moon, yet strong enough to separate the thorn the rose. With such depth is how i read this, Richard.
