So, I'll Wait

Somebody just told me, He's not prepared To risk his heart Once more. Here I am, Full of hope, Eager to embrace love that once I adore. But I hold on to love He's not yet ready to share. Our views are aligned in this life, Yet the timing doesn't seem fair. So, I'll wait. I'll wait for his cue, And in the meantime, I'll grow, Becoming the woman I aspire to, Worthy of him too. If he's not the one, I'll wait again. By that time, I know I'm good at waiting for nothing, But I am surely gaining something.
