So Close Yet So Far

I’m so sick of everything
I’m so sick of everyone
All these temptations
And everyone giving in

In this world so cold
I long for something
For something to hold
When happiness seems so far
Trying to remember who you are

I’m so sick of the lies
You love what I despise
Over and over again
I get dragged back to where I began
The sun seems forgotten where I stand
Because in this dark night I lose who I am

In this world so cold
I long for something
For something to hold
When happiness seems so far
Trying to remember who you are

I can feel you dragging me down
While you are reaching the crown
You do everything you can to escape
To escape the memories of your fate
I need to find a way from you
So I can learn to stay true

In this world so cold
I long for something
For something to hold
When happiness seems so far
Trying to remember who you are

I’m so sick of the lies
You love what I despise
Over and over again
I get dragged back to where I began
The sun seems forgotten where I stand
Because in this dark night I lose who I am
