So Beloved By Me
You are the beauty so beloved by me
And absence breaks my haunted, wanting heart.
My spirit speaks in grand soliloquy
While pleading passion's hope we never part.
Enchanted by the essence of your soul
You breathed inside me with one tender kiss.
Transcendent was your love which made me whole,
Exchanging years of emptiness for bliss.
O paradise, profound, I now have found,
It dawned that day your love did set me free
From all addictions to which I was bound;
You saved my life and gave it liberty.
You are the scent of lavender in spring
That frees the song of song-birds on the wing.
