Snowy Walk

We trek a snow-filled walkway
birthing shadows,
late the day.

The barren limbs of trees enfold,
snow falls
and night betray.

Alive this chill and wintry night
to see
our breath's display.

The glow of lights mark well our steps
and lead
where warmth holds sway.

                                   Snowy Walk
                                   1-20-15
