SNOWGLOBE MEMORIES-Mystic

SNOWGLOBE MEMORIES Poetry Contest
Mystic Rose Rose

There's a snowglobe catching my eye,
a Hallmark moment, up in the sky,
I dream of a White Christmas gone by,
up where the stars shine bright,
and where dreams never die.
There's a cabin covered in snow ...
little kids playing toe to toe,
smoke billows from the chimney top,
a snowman dancing to the bebop.
I'm chasing my reverie with steins of beer,
fostering the pub, and my nightly cheer.
As the snow furries circle the globe,
watching sadly is a lonesome dear.
The jukebox pours its last song of the night,
into a cup of lost dreams that never took flight.
