Listen to poem:
Snowglobe Memories-Mystic
A child's small hands lift
a world asleep beneath glass—
til shaken and swirled
the snow stirs the scene to dream
reborn by a child's delight.
Snow globes can teach us
how to begin yet again—
shake, watch, let snow drift
a whirlpool of renewal,
a hand-held show of wonder.
In each crystal sphere
memories glitter like frost
snowflakes hesitant
are uncertain where to land—
so keen to spin round about.
In each clear glass sphere,
memories glow as glitter,
snowflakes reluctant
to fall, can't choose where to rest—
so keen to prolong their dance.
Make the still world dance—
in slow, tender, revolving
in a gentle gush
for snow lingers the longest
when globe is stirred, not shaken.
As the snow grows still,
the small world grows clear again
quiet, glad, content—
resting peacefully cradling
all its spellbound memories.
