Snowflake Hope

Rain falls on the empty streets It’s dawn You hear distant cars The wind blows a frozen kiss Upon ragged sidewalks And for a moment everything is perfectly imperfect An ordinary moment in time- The blackness of the sky is consuming Quiet before the chaos begins An echo in time Suddenly the rain stops And it’s the loudest silence Natures slumber While a single flake hovers down Twisting and turning Landing in your palm
