Notes About The Poem

Snow Globe Memories - Mystic

Is it too late, time's long journey to take -
down the magic landscape of ages gone by?
It's long past midnight, and I'm still awake,
gazing through recall's dreamlike, hazy sky.

I sense that I am growing ever near -
the decades pass among evergreen trees.
I feel peace, joy, and tidings of good cheer,
as the snow floats in a watery breeze.

Will I arrive at that enchanted place,
as the years, my mind, does slowly pillage?
Will I see, before the time will erase,
a fat old man in an elfin village?

Yes! I am happy I embarked to go
on memory's trip through a globe of snow.

You didn't find my mess to your email did you? Sent well over a week ago. Or see Andrea's blog? I've been unable to comment due to a hand injury. Tim helped me post poems & we laughed a lot because I scribbled scratch-mark words w/ my NOT primary hand that I could barely read. The more emotion you draw from the more you improve and improve, I can't wait to see to you totally let loose. You just had to be a bit silly in 3rd stanza, last line, oh you. Still, an impressive write, David.

Thanks, CayCay. I thought I did, but I didn't really understand you had a hand injury. Is your hand OK now? I think I do silly, better than doing emotion. I think to really enter that realm I might have to first have some kind of therapy - lol, but yet, I would like to be able to go there.
