Snow 1

SNOW

Alluring, bewitching, cool, delight
Entrenching freeze
Glacier’s heady invite
Joking, kicking, loose.
Mystic no-no’s,
Orhan Pamuk’s
Quiet ‘read’-‘ SNOW’
Telling, unique.
Virgin waters
XO’s,.. yawn, ..zzz…

Yes, I choose an eerie topic, but it is one that causes me to question EVERYTHING in my life...my purpose, my creator, and why others who say they are "good" just sit around and let hell avenge the innocent! It is my fav time period in history...Some say that it was America's greatest hour,,,I say we could have done MORE! The entire Jewish nation and others could have been wiped off the map if it weren't for the US. Heartbreaking, really. Glad u asked. :) GR

I must live in the same area as Gwen as snow passed us by and we got up to 80 this last week and tonight the forecast is for frost just as the bees are to visit the fruit blossoms. I didn't know you got snow over there; sure sounds like fun!

Hi dear Jag!! I see you rocked the arctic contest with this blusterous write!...I am really proud of this entry...heck, I couldn't even come up with anything! Everything you wrote of is an enticing treat associated with the wondrous white powdery stuff! Way to go! In my state, I am not exaggerating, we received 2 good days of snow! That's it...It's as tho Mr. Winter passed me by...wahhhhhhhh! :) Gwendolen

Someone once sponsored an ABC contest on this site and insisted that the poem had to be a complete sentence...I had researched this thoroughly and found that NOT to be the case only after I threw out one of my best written ABC poems...This one is excellent, Jag. It places a twist on the theme and is Oh so original..I like the ending how you pulled the audience to a quiet sleep...a super nice alluring flow. Glad I got to read this one before starting off for the day!! :) Gwendolen
